Questions for Byron

Actual answers to actual questions

What is the word for people who use large vocabulary in a sentence incorrectly?

 A. what is large vocabulary, is that some kind of "large vocabulary" ?

If you could break any Guiness World record what would it be?

A. downloading the most megabytes - movies, songs, videos while wearing astronaut diapers

Do sailors have more fun? I love drinking strong wine during a wind storm. Any port in a storm is my motto.?

A. Check with the Port authorities before setting sail and make sure no semen are lost in the storm

Traditionally, the wine is passed "port to port": the host will pour a glass for the person seated at their right and then pass the bottle or decanter to the left (the port side); this practice is then repeated around the table.

Rebuttal: I try to know where all of my seamen are at every moment. Only when my resistance has been lowered by too much port wine do I lose track of them.

Where is Scottie? Do you need him to beam you up, too?

A. Scottie had a son, and was trained as intergalactic beam deployment specialist. he can be reached in the yellow pages for all your beaming needs

If everyone on the planet ate a giant bean burrito at the same time, would it cause a giant fireball in?

(our solar system that would reach all the way to Uranus?)

A.  it would create a wormhole and you would be able to visit your dad

(see the movie Contact for clues)

I am starting a swinging shingles club for hemorrhoid sufferers. Is this a good idea?

I think you should do some Preperation-H before starting a swinging shingles club.

What are 3 ways to take avantage of embarrasing fart situation  ?

1) On a crowded subway "i just farted" , and claim your prized seat after standing for an hour

2) After haggling with a salesman over the price "i just farted scuse me", response: ok i will sell !

3) at a buffet: "ahhh man i just farted" and claim your sole spot at the all you can eat crab table

I have a college degree in philosophy. What are some U.S. companies that are hiring philosophers?

A. To work in the U.S, or not to work in the U.S !

That is the question , whether it tis nobler in the mind, to sweep the floor at Wendy's or flip burgers at Burger King, and by opposing such work find thyself at the unemployment line, on the dole and without a role

What exactly does "i.e" mean?

 idiotic example:

usage: i.e. this is an idiotic example of the definition of i.e.

if a man farts silent in a crowd does anyone smell it?

A. No but the squirrel will grab his nuts and run

What is the best kind of dog to attract girls?

I am looking for a cheap one, but also one that will be easy to sell once I get what I am looking for

A.  Answer: a hot dog, get it ! hot dog

that way you can "dump" it once you get what you looking for - get that too ?!

What do we call a little paper with information on it that a student uses to cheat on an exam?

A.   "belichek"

Weird Science

Weird Science
by Byron Balaski

Tesla Coil

The six curled up dimensions, the inward space, may be Calabi-Yau shaped

REALITY AND THE PROBABILITY OF BEING EVERYWHERE AT ONCE by Byron B.

Reality occurs i.e. when one views a particle, its only his or her reality, because once the viewer has viewed the particle, the viewer has in fact "disturbed" the particle - either changed its location, changed it's speed. That's why the wave-function equation collapses - temporarily. The wave-function equation describes the particular location a particle(s) will probably (most likely) occupy, if you hadn't actually observed it and thus created your own reality.

Seems like reality is dependent upon disturbing things !

Once a particle's location in space is defined, the possibility of it
being found elsewhere collapses (wave-function collapses) because locations in a space are
distinct. Only within a here-now do we find that locations are not
distinct. Since the particle's location in space is only temporarily
detected, the collapse of the probability of the particle's location is
also temporary. Thus dummi you are highly likely in one place at one time

Here is the equation for figuring this simple problem out

SPEED OF LIGHT VS SOUND by Byron B:
How far does light go when sound has gone 1 cm in air at 20°C?
my calculation:

= 34360 cm/sec (speed sound)
b= 29,979,245,800 cm/sec (speed light)
c = 1/a (1 unit to the speed of sound per cm)
r = result

Time sound takes to go 1 cm is 1/34360
c=2.9103608847497089639115250291036e-5

Distance light will go in 2.9103608847497089639115250291036e-5 seconds :

we need to take the result of how much time it takes to go 1cm and multiply it by the speed of light (per cm)

r = b * c

r = 2.9103608847497089639115250291036e-5 * 29,979,245,800

r = 872504.24330616996507566938300331

Thus, light will go 872,504.24 cm's in the time it has take sound to travel 1 cm in 20deg c as long as light is travelling in a vaccum  (no not that kind of vacuum!)

Gateway to the after-life - is it possible to travel over to the after-life ?

BB: Possibly, highly likely, although the "after life" can be construed in different ways.

Dark matter has been studied and is now proven to have interesting properties. Some scientists conjecture that dark matter could contain a parallel universe. For example we could exist in parallel universes (like slicing a bread loaf) where we theoretically could be bumping into other beings on another universe plane. Some have even conjectured these dark matter regions that are parallel universes, are actually places of heaven, and a separate universe(if you will) for hell.

Exotic matter with negative energy density is required to stabilize a wormhole.
Kip Thorne pointed out that the quantum mechanics of the Casimir effect can be used to produce a locally mass-negative region of space-time, and suggested that negative effect could be used to stabilize a wormhole to allow faster than light travel. A wormhole can be held open to reach other beings in parallel universes/alternate universes.

Who knows, one day, we might be able to reach the "after life" and visit or stay there

Turning Your Headlights on at the speed of light:

"If ur travelling at the speed of light in ur car and u turn the headlights on what happens?"

BB: Travelling at light speed, light still travels just as fast away from you. So no change is detectable in the headlights shining out.

"Light waves were thought to be a disturbance in the luminiferous ether, just as sea waves are a disturbance in the ocean. The speed of light was relative to this ether. Einstein wondered, if he moved at the speed of light relative to the ether, how could light move relative to him? How could there be a reflection in his mirror?

"He concluded that light did not travel at some fixed speed relative to the ether, that light was not carried by the ether, and that the ether did not even exist. Unbeknown to Einstein, this is what Michelson and Morley had already discovered." Singh, p.102.

To preserve Galileo's principle of relativity, Einstein suggested that light always moves at a constant velocity relative to the observer. Assume you measure the speed of light to be 300 000 km/s relative to yourself when you are standing still. If you now move at close to the speed of light, you would still measure light waves moving at 300 000 km/s relative to yourself (not 0 km/s as you might have expected). If the light waves are reflected in Einstein's mirror you'll find them coming back to you at exactly the same velocity (not at close to 600 000 km/s as you might have expected).

Conclusion:You would not be able to tell if you were standing still or moving at the speed of light by turning on your headlights

Since light has speed what makes light move? What carries photons?

Concerning Propagation of Light: Electromagnetic radiation waves travels through the air.

Light and similar forms of radiation are made up of moving electric and magnetic forces. A simple example of motion similar to these radiation waves can be made by dropping a pebble into a pool of water. In this example, the water is not actually being moved by the outward motion of the wave, but rather by the up-and-down motion of the water. The up-and-down motion is transverse, or at right angles, to the outward motion of the waves. This type of wave motion is called transverse-wave motion. The transverse waves spread out in expanding circles until they reach the edge of the pool, in much the same manner as the transverse waves of light spread from the sun. However, the waves in the pool are very slow and clumsy in comparison with light, which travels approximately 186,000 miles per second.

Light radiates from its source in all directions until it is absorbed or diverted by some substance (fig. 2-1). The lines drawn from the light source (a light bulb in this instance) to any point on one of the transverse waves indicate the direction that the wavefronts are moving. These lines, are called light rays.

Various theories of Time Travel

1) A famous rule for time travel is called the grandfather paradox.
This rule states that you cannot go back in time and kill your grandfather. This would have prevented your parents being born and thus you would not have been born.

2) The Many-worlds interpretation is a theory that states once you go back in time you create a whole different world, that will never interact with future worlds, you create a new branch of history or alternate universe

3) Novikov self-consistency principle - is a theory (and this was illustrated in a cool version of the Twilight zone- original series) where one can go back in time, but cannot change the outcome. IN the twilight zone show, the man tried to go back in time to kill Hitler, but as he was about to fire the gun, 2 nazis came into the room and stopped him.

Is it possible to travel through a black hole in one piece if you had an anitgravitational engine

BB: you would have to have an anti-gravitational engine that exceeded the force of gravity within a black hole

What happens around a black hole ?

BB: Light follows a warped direction (light cones) around a black hole's event horizon.
Time is slowing down for light in these "light cones" - yes red-shifting is another word

Travelling vast distances, instantly
by byron:

Space travel of vast distances is possible through a wormhole:
"a traversable wormhole held open by a spherical shell of exotic matter, is referred to as a Morris-Thorne wormhole" - some speculate on the exotic matter but we haven't discovered that, and when we do , we still need to be able to have a wormhole to exit (entry, exit wormholes)
this is far off, id say within 10,000 years

also parallel universes exists in curled up dimensions - scientists are studying this using the Cashmir effect (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cashmir_eff… we might be able to visit other dimensions soo.

What goes faster then light ?

Currently, only information is known to have travelled faster than light, this is related to quantum entanglement, but this is information is not classic information, but rather spin up/down symmetrical information, not information like the weather is fine in spain...

Skywheel at night, downtown Niagara Falls

Best way to argue String Theory:
Theoretically , it is to walk around Niagara Falls,  hitting every establishment for beer and chatting & debating with your brother (Shel) and to try reasonably not to slur too many syllables nor forget importance concepts and theories. As a high-point to the night ., you can both discuss M-Theory, and possibly advance some of the 11 dimensional, membrane(brane), quantum gravity theories right in place.

Learning Jazz Piano

GETTING STARTED
To get started in jazz its helpful to have a bit of background playing the piano: classical/rock playing.
Unfortunately or fortunately depending on your attitude, learning the hardest way , usually pays dividends in the end regarding learning jazz. That means learning all one's scales, and important progressions like the 2-5-1.

If you are classically trained you want to start with some real classical Jazz:
Listen to Gershwin - esp the piece "Rhapsody in Blue and Summertime"
also check out Irvin Berlin

If you are a rocker, check out Pat Metheny and Chic Corea. As they have experimented in rock, heavy metal and jazz-fusion, this will help you understand the transition from rock over to fusion rock/jazz to pure jazz.

GETTING WITH THE JAZZ CATS
check your local library for a jazz standards book - get out some quarters and do some photocopying.

check out these sites for music scores/sheet music:
http://nfo.net/charts/index.html

here is the mother of all links: http://www.freesheetmusic.net/Jazz1.html

do a google for "Jazz Standards" books - every jazz cat does these. Also do a google search on jazz lounge bands/acts, and look at their playlist

Now go to a mp3 site such as mp3.com, napster.com just to browse and preview jazz albums - look for compilation albums that have ie the best of lounge jazz. These sites are very good reference because they contains complete albums, all songs are previewable so if you like a version of a song ie Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue you can compare and search other versions

Last but not least, go into a jazz lounge and in between sets, talk with the jazz cats.

WEENING OFF PIANO BOOKS AND UNTO FAKE BOOKS/JAZZ CHARTS

If you want to get really brave and try something beyond simple, you would do wise to learn jazz chords. Sometimes they are printed within a jazz book - also called a fake book. But if you want to be a professional jazz player you have to ween yourself off of piano books and move on to fake/chart/chords books - the next level !

The New Real Book series is a good place to start

THEORY
Pick a the only book there really is Mark Levine's "Jazz Theory Book" and also get yourself a jazz scales book which shows you all the jazz scales - half diminished, whole tone, etc. and practice them in each key.

After that get some popular music jazz charts (sheet music with the abbreviated notations - ie eb Alt, g m7,maj) You will find these in what are called "Jazz Fake" books.

Work through some easier standards (old popular jazz songs) like "Girl from Ipanema", "Day in the life of a fool" and or "Fly me to the moon". This is the bread and butter learning of jazz.

IMPROVISING
Once you know your chords , such a s the 7th chords, try to improvise within the songs by using all the notes from that 7th chords on the top hand while playing that ie 7th chord in the bottom hand.

to find the scale of a minor its best to find the root, the root of a minor is one tone down.
so if in e minor, the major scale is played in D

VERTICAL VS HORIZONTAL CHORD - LEED IMPROVISATION/SOLO-ING

Vertical is playing based leed lines on chord tones and horizontal is a scale based approach.

The Vertical Approach -  The vertical approach is where your improvisation leed notes are dictated by the chord you are playing. For example, playing vertically is accomplished by following through the chord(played on left hand) that is paying attention to the exact notes in the chord (and the root of the chord). Thus you are following the chord changes.

The Horizontal Approach - This approach is where your leed lines are not dictated by the chords, but the notes of the key that the song is in. Thus you have a less-strigent and horizontal (across the scale) approach to the leed line.

THE FLAVOUR OF CHORDS AND SCALES:
how chords and scales have been used by the composer to effect different moods, feelings and changes in a person or audience.

ie

sus chord - triumphant or reflecting, "aha moment" feelings

alt chord - weird feeling, strange feeling - ie Love Reborn - uses an alt chord within the lyrics ("you kissed me" - never felt like this before) to convey the strangeness of that kiss

minor scale - sad feel

half diminished scale- creates a sort of unknowing, uneasy feeling

whole tone scale - a very far out, trippy space out feel - used a lot in the original Star Trek show to convey the weirdness of a place or situation the star trek crew were in.

+~+~+~+

All chords and scales throughout jazz have been chosen purposefully by the masters to evoke feelings, to emulate, to effect or complement visual themes.

...it was no mistake the composers chose these scales and chords.
:)

SOLO-ING
As long as you know the structure of the solo , you fill in the notes like a connect the dots scenario.

As long as you know about the dynamic of a solo - start slow and un-assuming and gradually build up the tension/excitement and then at the end the big cressendo, the summit and peek of your solo.

CONTRAFACTING
In the realm of jazz, contrafact means that you borrow the structure - chord changes - of one song and graft it into a new song. Then you create a totally new melody over the grafted chord changes/structure.

Lamb lies down on broadway - music lies down on Broadway

To Clayton Walnum: http://www.progressiveworld.net/proglife_oct5.html

Peter Gabriel in the Slipperman Costume - need we say more about real dramatic music ?

"You must be joking when you comment that Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is 'uninspired and unexciting' . When I first listened to this awesome work, I literally listened to it all night. Most of all the story telling is so intimate and congruous and the music matches the emotions of poor tortured Rael. I think you need to listen to this album again. - Byron Balaski

Ahhh , apologies Clayton, we were just being vehement about Genesis final album with Peter Gabriel, did anybody mention that PG was the band, in a lot of ways.

Somebody could make a suggestion that really sounds naïve. It might even be
naïve, but it could have an important element of the truth in it.

And it could be truth that one's overlooking. So it's really hard to state a

Shroud of Turin

Picture of Jesus From the image of the Shroud of Turin

Did you know 1000's of scholars, scientific institutions including Nasa Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Los Almos invested their time on this. That countless scientists, botonists, imaging specialists and chemists have analyzed and studied the Shroud of Turin ?
Millions of man hours by leading scientists over decades went into this study and continue to do so !

"We didn't feel we made any major finds," says Lynn, "partly because we had poor quality negatives to work with. However, frequency analysis did tend to rule out the possibility that the figure was hand painted." - Nasa, Jet Propulsion Laboratory - 1978
http://er.jsc.nasa.gov/seh/shroud.html

______________________________________________________________

There are many reasons why the Shroud of Turin is MOST definitely Jesus' burial cloth:

1) Carbon Dating: Don't be fooled by erroneous carbon dating tests (that tested only a piece of cloth that had been sewn on to repair the Shroud somewhere between 1260-1390),
Preliminary estimates of the kinetics constants for the loss of vanillin from lignin indicate a much older age for the cloth than the radiocarbon analyses. The radiocarbon sampling area is uniquely coated with a yellow–brown plant gum containing dye lakes. Pyrolysis-mass-spectrometry results from the sample area coupled with microscopic and microchemical observations prove that the radiocarbon sample was not part of the original cloth of the Shroud of Turin. The radiocarbon date was thus not valid for determining the true age of the shroud.

2) Blood: bloodstains, as forensic scientists and chemists now know, were created by real blood (type AB) as found on the cloth (not paint!)

2b) DNA: " ...their findings concluded that the blood on the Shroud is from a male human"

3) Thorn remmanants were found by Israeli botanists on the shroud that matched a plant that only only grows near Jerusalem (rare to only this part of the world).
3b) The image depicts Jesus with the crown of thorns clearly visible on the top of his head
3c) Flowers buried with cloth as shown on cloth
" Israeli botanist Avinoam Danin determines that the celebrated relic originated in the Land of Israel."

4) Image: A Real photographic image appeared in a photographer's negative in 1898 (quite by accident) nobody at that time even knew there would be something on the cloth (it was at that point, just a burial cloth with no photographic image on the cloth) - not a forgery, for the image is definitely photographic and nobody can forge a photograph even back in 1400's when nobody even knew what a photograph is
(Wiki :On May 28, 1898, amateur Italian photographer Secondo Pia took the first photograph of the shroud and was startled by the negative in his darkroom.)

5) Image analysis by scientists at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory found that rather than being like a photographic negative, the image unexpectedly has the property of decoding into a 3-D image of the man when the darker parts of the image are interpreted to be those features of the man that were closest to the shroud and the lighter areas of the image those features that were farthest. Translation: the Shroud is more than an image (of course we know that) , it is a an actual 3-D relief of Jesus
Thermochimica Acta:
"However, the most interesting characteristic of the images is revealed by computer imaging analysis, particularly that done by a VP-8 image analyzer. The body image contains realistic 3-dimensional information relating image density at any particular pixel point to the distance between the cloth and the body at that point. Further, this projective information transfer can be shown to be collimated and anisotropic, neither necessarily orthogonal to the receiving or sending surface. Note, no image appears between the two body image heads as would be consistent with this point. Although we do not have any confirmed explanation for this property, it has been used to test a number of artistic rendition methods and they have all failed to meet this criterion"

6) Definitely a body that had been scourged by the Romans prior to crucifying : scores of linear wounds on the torso and legs claimed to be consistent with the distinctive dumbbell wounds of a Roman flagrum.

7) About Jesus' cool long hair: "A body of Israelites specially consecrated to the service of God who were under vows to abstain from drinking the produce of the vine, to let their hair grow and to avoid defilement by contact with the dead (Num. 6)."

8) Translation: this is a key point (dont forget how the bible was translated using Greek). Scholars believe the plural of burial clothes was added in later translations, but originally meant 1 burial cloth !

"In Jn. 19:40, the Fourth Gospeller uses the word othonia [Gk.] (plural) to describe the linen cloths used in the Burial. Othonia, a word of uncertain meaning, but probably best translated as a generic plural for grave clothes. The same word is used by Luke or his scribe in Lk.24:12 what had previously been described as the sindon in Lk. 23:53. Note: vs. l2 (But Peter rose and ran to the tomb, stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths (plural) by themselves; and he went home wondering what happened.) does not appear in the most ancient manuscripts, but is added by later ancient authorities"

9) Thermal Analysis: (done by Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory)
Raymond N. Rogers (1927-2005) was an American chemist who was considered a leading expert in thermal analysis.
  He found proof that

You have overwhelming evidence from the most leading scientific institutions and scientists in the world.
Everyone agreeing in their part, the fascination, the extra-ordinaryness and authenticity of the shroud not being a forgery, nor being made by an artist,
but containing blood, thorns, perfect relief, a photograph, extra-ordinary evidence of radiation to imprint an image.

For proof of everyone in the world to see Jesus Christ.

GOOD, BAD AND THE UGLY - TIPS

Natural Health Blogs - BlogCatalog Blog Directory

Introduction

Over the years I have collected natural health tips from family, friends & experts in the field of medicine, health and natural sciences. These are mainly notes and are only guidelines of what are possible alternatives to health conditions one might face.

If you have any helpful ideas, corrections, links, please comment at the bottom.

Thank yourselves

ALLERGIES
==========================================================================
Beneficial for fighting allergies
---------------------------------------------------------------------
The key is to avoid toxins & avoid substances your body cannot take
(smoke, dairy, gluten, cats, dust are some examples)

Also key is to boost your immune system.

Take:
* Green Tea - anti-inflammatory
* Vit C - immunity
* Quercetin (found in apples) with bromelain (pineapple) - immunity
* Acidophilous - minimizes effects of bad bacteria producing allergins
* Chlorophyll - cleans body, fresh fruits/veggies
* Echinacea - only take for a few days, builds white blood cells
* Vitimin E -builds red blood cells

Capsules are the easier pills to take

Avoid these products if you have allergies
------------------------------------------------------
* dairy foods such as cheese, milk
* MSG, Yeast, torula yeast - article
(these are in many foods so check the label)
* canned foods (BPA) - article
* meats that contain hormones fed to livestock
* some people have allergies to gluten
* Avoid CATS - Coffee, Alcohol, Tobacoo, Sugar

Get checked out by a allergy specialist to see what you are allergic too

ANTI-OXIDANTS
===================================================
* Selenium: #1 (with vitamin E)

* Green tea very effective

* Many phytochemicals are antioxidants, including carotenoids, and flavonoids.

* Among the flavonoids, isoflavonoids in soy and other legumes have estrogen-like effects.(soy)

* Some phytochemicals, such as isothiocyanates in the cabbage family and organo sulfur compounds in garlic, block the carcinogenic action of chemical carcinogens by helping the body dispose of them.

* Antioxidants are chemical substances that donate an electron to the free radical and convert it to a harmless molecule

* they help reduce iron levels

* intra-cellular antixodiants (SOD) - occur within our own cells - natures most potent form of cellular health (nac ,selenium and cinnamon boost this)

Carotenoids (Carrots)
---------------------------
* Similar to vitamin E, carotenoids trap reactive oxygen species from sunlight,
break free radical chain reactions and prevent oxidative damage. Consumption of fruits and vegetables that are high in beta-carotene has shown reduced risk of cancer, heart disease and stroke. There are over 600 known carotenoids besides beta and alpha. About 40 are found in the human diet, and not all of them turn into vitamin A. Lycopene is one that does
not convert to vitamin A.

Lycopene
------------------
*The carotenoid lycopene provides stronger antioxidant protection against certain types of free radicals,
and may protect against certain types of cancer better than any nutrient presently known.

Lycopene makes up about half the carotenes in human serum; yet, very little research has been done on it. Lycopene is what gives tomatoes, watermelons, grapefruits and papaya their red color.
A pigment synthesized by some plants and animals to protect them from the sun,
lycopene evolved as a weapon against certain free radicals. Humans get most of their lycopene
from tomatoes--by far the richest source; yet, tomato products offer a more concentrated source
of lycopene than the fresh fruit itself. Since lycopene is a nutrient that can stand the heat,
cooked tomato products, such as tomato paste, provide more of it than fresh tomatoes.

Lycopene's cancer protection is in part due to its antioxidant protection. But some studies show that it may also modulate immunity, inhibit angiogenesis and affect hormones. Lycopene works better in combination with lutein, another carotenoid which if found mostly in spinach and corn.

Co-Q10
------------------
Co-Q10, coenzyme Q-10, or ubiquinone, is found in the cells' mitochondria, and has two known
functions. Co-Q10 transports electrons in energy production and is also an antioxidant that protects against free radicals formed during metabolism. Co-Q10 decreases in some tissues, with age.
The heart, brain and muscles, which are high in mitochondria, may be most affected by the falling levels of Co-Q10. Lipid peroxides--markers of oxidative stress--are reduced in the blood of Co-Q10 supplemented people and antioxidant vitamins-E and -C are increased.

Green Tea/Coffee - Catechins
----------------------------------------
catechins, as well as simple phenolic acids, such as chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, and tannic acid. This can explain the well-established effectiveness of coffee in decreasing iron levels,
or fighting bacterial and viral overgrowths

Bilberry supports and protects collagen structures in the blood vessels of the eyes,
assuring strong, healthy capillaries that carry vital nutrients to eye muscles and nerves, making striking improvement to night vision possible just a few hours after a single dose.

Ginkgo
------------------------------
Ginkgo too provides benefits for the retina, thanks to its antioxidant properties, its ability to raise glutathione levels and its enhancement of the blood-retinal barrier.

Various potent flavonoids have similar effects, whether on the brain, eyesight or
the vascular system.

Betaine
----------------------
Beets contain betaine, which promotes the regeneration of liver cells and the flow
of bile. It also has a beneficial effect on fat metabolism.

Brassica Family
----------------------------
Broccoli and other members of the brassica family (cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, kale, kholrabi)
support the liver's detoxification enzymes.

Protein
-----------------------------
Protein is required by the liver for detox. Beans, nuts, seeds, quinoa, protein powder.
Some people may choose to eat fish in moderation.

Onions and Garlic
---------------------
Rich in sulfur-containing compounds. Involved in sulfation, the main detox pathway for environmental
chemicals and certain drugs and food additives.
Helps with the elimination of harmful heavy metals from the body.

Cells
------------------------
Every minute of every day of your life, the cells of your body manufacture these toxic cancer-causing chemicals.
During the breakdown of carbohydrates and fats, the cells strip away electrons that are converted into
energy through a series of enzymatic reactions known as the Krebs Cycle.
During the liberation of energy, these electrons attach to an oxygen molecule and form a
very toxic chemical called superoxide. A deficiency of ATP in cells can also produce superoxide.

Superoxide, a highly toxic free radical, is a normal end product of everyday metabolism.
Other toxic radicals produced during every day normal metabolism, include: hydrogen peroxide,
lipid peroxy radicals, epoxides and hydroxyl radicals.

Vit C
-------------------------------------------------
However vitamin C, backs up the Cancer Detox System, and can convert the
hydroxyl radical into a harmless substance.

The enzyme called glutathione is the most versatile of all because it can literally detoxify
almost every kind of toxic chemical.

Carotene
-----------------------------
Carotene plays an important role in support of the Cancer Detox System, by its ability to detoxify
a cancer-causing radical called singlet oxygen.

Vitamin E
-------------------------------------
Vitamin E exerts its protective effects against cancer-causing chemicals by its ability to detoxify
the toxic lipid peroxy radicals.

Gultathione
--------------------------------------------
Glutathione is the workhorse of the Cancer Detox System. It can work with the mineral called selenium to
detoxify a wide range of cancer-causing chemicals. This enzyme is constantly being regenerated by
the enzymes called NAD and FAD, which contain niacin and riboflavin.

Prunes
-------------------------------------------------
Prunes (plums): has rejuvenating qualities
plums, tree of life ?

NAC see
------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) is the pre-acetylized form of the simple amino acid Cysteine.

A powerful antioxidant, a premier antitoxin and immune support substance, and is found naturally in foods.

It is a precursor for glutathione, an important antioxidant that protects cells against oxidative stress.

In addition to maintaining intracellular glutathione levels, NAC supplementation has been shown to s
uppresses Human Immunodeficiency virus (HIV) replication, to be protective against cell damage
caused by chemotherapy and radiation therapy, to be immune enhancing, to protect against toxins
as acetametaphen and other drugs, mercury, lead, and others, and is mucolytic, that is, it breaks
up mucus seen in bronchoulmonary disease as cystic fibrosis,
chronic bronchitis, asthma, and pneumonia.

** NAC should be taken with VITC to reduce oxidization , also effective with VIT e
** NAC detoxes liver
** NAC detoxes excess zinc
** Warning: very hard on intestinal track

Antioxidants neutralize free radicals, which are produced by normal metabolic activity.
When free radicals are left unchecked they cause damage to cells and DNA
and are considered by scientists to be a major factor in the aging process.
NAC is a more stable form of L-Cysteine because it has an acetyl group (CH3CO) attached.
NAC has all the properties of L-Cysteine but is more water soluble and said
to be more bioavailable than L-Cysteine.

Produced by the body, N-acetylcysteine (commonly called NAC) is a form of the amino acid cysteine.
Because it enhances the production of the enzyme glutathione, one of the body's powerhouse antioxidants,
NAC can both stave off disease and play an important role in boosting the immune system.
Studies have shown that glutathione levels are often reduced in people with certain conditions
related to the immune system.

For more than three decades, NAC has been used as a mucolytic ("mucus dissolving") agent to help
break up the thick mucus often present in people suffering from chronic respiratory ailments.
When administered intravenously, NAC has also proved invaluable in the treatment of
acetaminophen overdose; it appears to protect the liver from this potentially toxic substance.
Now widely available in supplement form, NAC is currently being recommended for preventing and
treating a wide variety of ailments that may respond to its antioxidant properties.

Supplemental antioxidants--NAC is one of many-- are believed to protect the body's
cells from altered oxygen molecules called free radicals. Damage from free radicals is
thought to be a signficant factor in such degenerative conditions as cancer and heart disease.
Of course, factors other than oxidative damage, such as life style factors and genetic
susceptibility, play strong roles in disease development as well. The hope is that by
reducing susceptibility to free radical damage, a person may further lower susceptibility
to a variety of chronic medical conditions. Incidentally, it is by means of its antioxidant
actions that NAC helps the liver eliminate potentially dangerous environmental
and biological toxins from the body.

NAC is known & marketed as an "anti-amalgam" medicine, because it helps remove (chelate)
mercury from the body. It also generally improves the bodys immune system,
making it better able to fight off disease. It is freely available from health-food
shops in many countries. NAC has neither a sedative or stimulant effect,
and is a safe substance showing excellent tolerance in patients.

ARTHRITIS
=======================================
Arthritis is a situation whereby toxin withheld in a body cause an auto-immune response. Basically what this means are toxin are making your body fight itself. To alleviate these symptoms, one must detox and take anti-inflamatories to alleviate the suffering.

so solution to Allergies = Detox + Anti-Inflammation

MUCOUS/BOWELS - DETOXING
=====================================================================
Mucous , mucous in the stool is symptomatic of an unhealthy diet.
Whatever external (negative) food source is causing our bodies to fight
these pathogens/irritants will create mucous in our bodies: lungs, stools.

This bugger is full of mucous - toxic bowel, when there is no mucous, poo is generally like berries coming out, that is , it doesn't stick together.

For many people, dairy products produce undesirable effects including mucous.

* Psyllium and betonite get rid of mucoid in body - DETOX

* Vegetables and fruits are virtually free of any mucoid forming activity.
They are Nature's purest foods. Exceptions are gas-ripened bananas and sulphured fruit

* LARGE MEALS. Our body's need for food is often much less than what we eat.
Any foods eaten beyond our body's need is a burden.
Some of this excess food will be converted into fat.
Yet the body can create only so much fat per day.
If you eat above digestive capacity, the excess must be eliminated.
During elimination, the lymph glands are overloaded and mucoid forms in response
to putrefaction.

* Fenugreek is a germicidal for the lungs.
It will act as a disinfectant and help to reduce inflammation.

* Slippery elm will cause the loosened phlegm and mucus to ball up,
which helps it move more easily out of the respiratory system.
It also has healing and soothing properties to benefit the lungs.

* Thyme is used mainly for its antiseptic properties, but it also has great expectorant properties.
An expectorant is used to discharge the mucus from the body.

Comfrey root has been used since ancient times for congestion problems. It reduces inflammation and it breaks up congestion in the lungs.

* EATING WITHOUT HUNGER. When food is eaten before complete digestion of the previous meal,partially-digested food will be released into the colon thus causing mucus.

* GULPING FOOD. Improper chewing overworks the digestive system.
If the food particles are too big to be assimilated, they must be eliminated
through the colon. On the way, these particles putrefy, thus causing mucus.

* IMPROPER COMBINATIONS. A typical meal contains starch, protein, sugars and fats,
each requiring a completely, different digestive secretion.
Complex food mixtures create mucus because the food molecules cannot be dissolved efficiently.
